Meeting and elections

Greetings all,
The next general meeting will be held on September 28, 2011 at 5pm in Baldy 553. This meeting will be to announce the winners of the election. If you are a current student, the box to cast your ballot will be located in the main office for LIS on the fifth floor. Voting will be open from 9a-4p. If you cannot come to the office, you can vote online at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dFBWQmR5RHNNcXpCWXNyQkdkZm1tVlE6MQ. Voting online will only be counted from 9a-4p. See you soon and do not for get to vote. Here is a little about the two young ladies running.

Stephanie Lichtenthal – this is my first year in the MLS program. I am hoping to focus on academic librarianship and am excited to learn about the profession in general. I would look forward to serving our fellow MLS students through participating in the UBALA as secretary.

Kristen Squire is a first semester, full-time library student from Rochester. She graduated previously from SUNY Fredonia in 2008 with a BA in English and then in 2009 from the University of Rochester. Kristen is interested in academic libraries, as well as archives. She has previous experience on the elected board for the Fredonia State Improv Society, holding three positions including President her senior year.
