“So You’re Graduating? Now What?”

Finally, after years of hard work, you are now getting your library degree. You might be very excited to jump into the library workforce but what if you don’t know what type of library you want to work at/in? If you don’t have library experience, do you ever wonder how you can qualify for librarian jobs? Do you know what you need to land an interview and a job offer? Do you want to expand your professional network? Considering joining the Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS) New Member Interest Group (ANMIG) as they discuss these questions and how ALCTS can help or support you.

When: Wednesday, April 29th, at 2 p.m. EST

ANMIG officers will be on hand to answer questions and offer advice. Come chat with ANMIG peers and calm your fears. Regina Gong, ANMIG Member-at-large and Katy Holder, ANMIG Student Liaison (who’s going to graduate with her MLIS in May) will be the hosts. This chat is open to all ALA members.

  1. Please note that you must join the ALCTS New Members Interest Group (ANMIG) before you can join the chat, which is easy! Go to and click the “Join” box under the search box in the left hand menu.
